The core technical challenge was managing dense tables of student submissions, real-time rubric scoring, and multi-tiered role permissions (administrators, head teachers, educators, and students) within an interface that stays completely fluid on both classroom laptops and mobile tablets.

Rather than building a monolithic database view, we organized the platform around an active "Review Queue" mental model. Teachers do not hunt through endless menus; the system surfaces what needs attention right now.

We integrated automated AI verification checks alongside manual teacher controls, providing confidence scoring, gap-fill verification, and instant vocabulary rubrics so instructors can confirm or amend scores in seconds.

Our engineering team built the frontend as a high-velocity single-page application with aggressive state caching, optimistic UI updates, and zero layout shift.

Every keystroke, rubric toggle, and feedback audio note is debounced and synced to the cloud in real time. If a connection drops, the offline-first queue preserves the teacher’s work and synchronizes smoothly upon reconnection.
